The only white wine produced by Querceto di Castellina, Livia is a unique blend of two French grapes and named after the sole granddaughter in the family – who happens to be part Italian and part French.
The beauty of the 2022 vintage of our Livia Bianco is undeniable and reflects the consistent, balanced and optimal growing conditions Mother Nature kindly gifted us during the growing season.
The wine glints light gold in color with subtle scents of white peach, apricot and roses. On the palate the grapes Viognier and Roussanne blend beautifully and luxuriantly together. The flavors are ripe but retain a refreshing crispness - even at the height of summer, this single vineyard enjoys cool nights – and the time the wine spends in tonneau contributes subtle notes of vanilla pod seeds and almond.
An excellent match for sushi, fritto misto, white meats or dishes made with winter or summer squash.
ORGANIC
At Querceto, we wholeheartedly believe great wine is made in the vineyard.
It's the reason we focus on those grape varieties that best express our terroir, like Sangiovese.
It’s also why we apply organic techniques for managing our 28 acres of vines, and focus on producing wines of high quality without chemical treatment and as little disruption as possible to the natural surroundings.
